ABOUT BENJAMIN CHIDIEBERE OKPARA
Benjamin Chidiebere Okpara was born on September 1, 1998, in New York City. He was the first son of John O. and Christiana I. Okpara. Benjamin graduated from Cambria Heights Academy in Queens, New York, in 2016. At Cambria Heights, he was a member of the student council and the basketball team. He was a first-semester college freshman before he was called home to be with the Lord. Ben was fond of his brother Daniel and sister Abigail and was protective of them. Benjamin loved the Lord and gave his life to Jesus when he was six years old. A year later, he composed a song titled “Jesus Is Mine.” This song has been a theme song in our daily family devotions. We love you Ben. Rest In Peace until we meet again.

Founded in 2017, the Benjamin Chidiebere Okpara Foundation (BCOF) is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. We provide scholarships, mentorship, and vital resources to enable students to not only attend college but to thrive and lead. Our ultimate goal is to nurture future leaders who will make lasting impacts in their communities, nation, and the world.
